We are glad to announce that we have donated many toys to several non-profit organizations during this last October. The donation amount was a total of around $10,000 worth of children foam playthings, which were divided equally between five different organizations (i.e. $2,000 each).
Here is a list of the non-profits we helped out in this campaign including a little description about each organization:
The Salvation Army is a charitable christian organization who's mission is to meet human needs without discrimination in every way possible. The organization consists of over a million members who are actually soldiers, officers, and adherents, hence the name. Some of what they do include donating Christmas gifts to needy families and children, offering assistance to victims of domestic violence, and providing free after-school programs for kids.
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home. They believe affordable housing plays a critical role in strong and stable communities. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage.
Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a not-for-profit organization consisting of members who strive to grow spiritually by offering personal service to individuals and families in need. This aid may take the form of intervention, consultation, or often through direct dollar or in-kind service.
The Father Fred Foundation is a nonprofit organization that offers help to the needy in Northwestern Michigan. Things they donate include food, clothing, household goods (including toys), and financial aid. They strive to help everyone who comes to their door seeking assistance to make sure no need in their community goes unfulfilled.
Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS) is a public school district based in Northwestern Michigan. This district includes 11 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, and 3 high schools. They accept donations and gifts in-kind to support youth education in their area.
It was truly a pleasure for us to be able to help families and children by donating toys to those non-profit organizations. We thank these foundations and all others who serve the needy in the US and worldwide.
If you're able to contribute (whether in cash or products), we highly encourage you to donate to the charities above and any others that exist in your local community.
